What we repair
When a PLC CPU fails, the whole line stops, and a new module can take weeks or may no longer be made. We repair the module you already have: we find the failed microcontroller, memory IC, regulator or bus transceiver, replace it and test the unit on the bench before it goes back.
Your program and settings stay with you. Send the module with the battery and memory card removed where possible, or tell us if it must be kept powered, and we will advise before you ship.

How we test it
- Power rails. 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V and isolated field rails measured, with ripple checked.
- Bus and comms. Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP and CANopen interfaces tested.
- Memory. Battery-backed RAM retention and EEPROM integrity checked.
- Soak test. Runs continuously on the bench before release.
Common faults we fix

CPU in STOP or SF / fault LED on
Traced to failed memory, corrupted firmware support circuits, or power-rail faults on the CPU board.
Dead module, no LEDs
Usually a failed on-board regulator, fuse or input protection after a surge. Repaired and load-tested.
Communication lost on MPI, DP, Profinet or Ethernet port
Failed transceivers, isolation parts or port magnetics replaced, then the port is tested live.
Program lost on power-up
Battery-backed RAM, battery circuit and retention checked and repaired.
Random restarts or intermittent faults
Dry solder joints, cracked parts and aged capacitors found under heat and vibration testing.
Rack or backplane faults
Backplane connectors, bus drivers and power distribution repaired so modules are seen again.

We find the failed components and send you the exact price and turnaround.
3. Repair and test
After your approval we repair at component level and test under real operating conditions.
4. Back with warranty
The unit returns to you with a 6-month warranty on the repair.
Frequently asked questions
Will you need my PLC program?
No. We repair and test the hardware only. Your application program is not needed and is not changed.
Can you repair obsolete PLC modules?
Yes. Much of our work is on obsolete and discontinued modules where a replacement is no longer available or is very expensive.
Which PLC brands do you repair?
Siemens SIMATIC S7, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix, Mitsubishi MELSEC, Schneider Modicon, Bachmann, GE Fanuc, Omron and others. If yours is not listed, send us a photo of the label.
How long does a PLC repair take?
Standard turnaround is 3 to 4 working days from receipt of your PO, when components and schematic are available with us. Priority (24 to 48 hours) and breakdown service are available on request.
